The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Contracting Office in Budapest, Hungary, is seeking applications from qualified organizations interested in implementing the Macedonian Activity for Civil Society Strengthening (MACSS) Program.
This program is aimed to support USAID/Macedonia Strategic Objective (S.O) 2.1 entitled ?Increased Citizens? Participation in Political and Social Decision Making? aiming at developing and strengthening civil society organizations (CSOs) in Macedonia in order to assist them to play their intended role in Macedonia?s democratic transition. Subject to the availability of funds, USAID intends to provide approximately $5,000,000 in total USAID funding to be allocated over a 3 (three) year period. The Strategic Team requests that applicants demonstrate their commitment to program success by including cost-sharing. The recommended cost share is 25% of the total activity cost. Please refer to the full announcement of the RFA for all information and requirements to submit an application. The deadline for receipt of questions and/or requests for clarifications is no later than 17:00 hours local Budapest time, February 28, 2005. Please do not contact USAID/Macedonia directly, since all communication must be through the RCO/Budapest.
